Cervical Cancer Screening

Comment on our Cervical Cancer Screening Guidelines

Read our cervical cancer screening guidelines and give us your feedback. Our public comment period will be open until Friday, June 25th at 5pm PT. Our guideline’s goal is to decrease the incidence of and mortality and morbidity from cervical cancer. Appropriate prevention through HPV vaccination, and appropriate screening and structured follow-up to any abnormal results are mechanisms to achieve this goal and focus areas of our guidelines.

Draft Cervical Cancer Screening Report and Recommendations

While deaths from cervical cancer have decreased significantly, the percent of people with up to date screening remains at about 50-66% depending on age group. Appropriate, up to date, screening rates also vary based on race, region, and income resulting in disparities in incidence and mortality. This workgroup will meet throughout 2021.
