Smooth Transitions has developed online survey tools to capture qualitative data on experiences of hospital transfers from planned community-based births. We are using the rich data from these surveys to get a 360-degree view on how transfers are going – from the perspectives of nurses, receiving providers, community midwives, doulas, EMS, and the patient.
