Data Manager Support

Cardiovascular Surgery

COAP serves as the coordinator for the STS Northwest Regional Data Manager Group, supporting STS data managers across six states: Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii. This data manager group has over 90 active members who support one another through real time email Q&A support and through participation in monthly educational web-based meetings.

STS Northwest  Regional Data Manager Group Leadership: Clinical leadership is provided by Melinda Offer, RN , MSN, Director of Cardiac Services at DAS Specialists, Idaho, and STS Core Member. Operational leadership is provided by Jeannie Collins-Brandon, COAP Program Director. Please contact Jeannie at jcollinsbrandon@qualityhealth.org if you would like to join this group, or to receive more information.

Monthly Web-based Meetings are hosted the second Wednesday of each month, 11:00am-noon PST. In each meeting we discuss updates to the STS training manual, unpublished FAQs, questions that come up via email or on national core group calls, and general Q&A. We also invite guest presenters to cover key educational topics of interest. All group members are encouraged to send questions and case scenarios to Melinda or Crystal a week in advance of each meeting to be presented and discussed with the group. Please contact Jeannie for an invitation and link to this monthly meeting; jcollinsbrandon@qualityhealth.org.

All group members are encouraged to send questions and case scenarios to Karen a week in advance of each meeting to be presented and discussed with the group. COAP calls are scheduled to compliment the bimonthly NCDR data manager support calls, occurring on alternate months, so that monthly educational opportunities are available.
