Measuring Change: Prioritizing Community in Evaluation

Join us as we speak with rural public health districts and tribal members about how they prioritize community perspectives and needs in their evaluation work. Representatives from the American Indian Health Commission will discuss their Pulling Together for Wellness” (PTW) framework which promotes community-based, culturally appropriate strategies to prevent chronic diseases and address health disparities and emphasizes the emotional, social, spiritual, and physical well-being of individuals, families, and communities. Southeast WA Alliance for Health will talk about how they communicate their evaluation findings in ways that address the priorities of the communities and promote openness and transparency in their work.

Intended audience: Organizations of any size who are interested in measuring and evaluating the impact of their work on their communities.

Learning Objectives:
At the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to –

  1. Describe indigenous and rural approaches to health care/public health evaluations
  2. Identify ways to communicate evaluation results back out to communities in a meaningful way
